All the best moments
A lot of people including us are now asking themselves a dreadful question; “World-cup tu khatam ab kiya karen?” Since the past one and a half months, cricket fans have been thoroughly enjoying the nail biting cricket matches while supporting their favourite teams. As a Pakistani its almost a crime to not spend your evening while sitting in front of your television screaming at the state of our team and simultaneously sharing memes on face book and twitter. Cricket is not just a sport, it is a part of culture.
Now that it is finally over and England has managed to finally become champions at their own game, we have compiled all the best moments from 2019’s world cup as an ode to our favourite game.
1) When Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed wore traditional Pakistani shalwar kameez to meet the Queen of England and received unnecessary criticism,
Captains of #Cricket playing nations competing 4 the #CricketWorldCup had a photoshoot with the Queen. Guess who came dressed in his pyjamas? None other than the #Pakistan captain (back row, left). Take a look at him in the other pic. How does one country produce …? #CricketWC pic.twitter.com/hXxbxrfzlj

And not only Pakistanis but even Indians came to his defence in the most beautiful moment of unity we witnessed between the two.
!He is representing his culture, n looking v handsome in that! Every human being has the right to wear what he does ,with dignity n pride! But I guess u wouldn’t know anything about belonging or representing ,as u have identity crisis urself ! #hateSpreadingMachine 🤬 https://t.co/pWDZJk9Qlf

Thank you Captain for upholding our traditions in the face of western culture.
2) After the defeat against West Indies Pakistanis had low expectations but surprisingly Team Pakistan managed to win against the WC favourite Team England and Pakistani social media was shook
Pakistan cricket is only reason atheism hasn't taken over the world.

Seasonal cricket fans,

You lose 11 games in a row. Then you are out for 105 against a team that hasn't won a series for four years. Then you rack up 348 against the world's best team and beat them in their den. Pakistan's cricket is a slap in the face of logic. #CWC19
— Mazher Arshad (@MazherArshad) June 3, 2019
Slap in the face of logic, indeed!
3) Mohammad Amir ka dil jeetnay wala comeback!
Pakistani team without Muhammad Amir is just like bryani without botti.#PakvAus

mazaak hai ke biryani?
Just Imagine Mohammad Amir Has Dropped in World cup squad Now He Has Been Top Wicket Taker in World Cup 😊

4)The birth of the Meme – Legend,
His face is a perfect mix of disappointment and anger every Pakistani fan experiences when our players refuse to field well in any match.
the meme-fanatics went crazy over this man and quite literally made him famous,

was a dick

5) when Team Pakistan lost to India, but the humour never died
— u z a i r🇵🇰🐐 (@uzair_qadeer) June 16, 2019
there were attacks at the Captain and his fitness,
Dear India thora hath hola rakhen..
Hamary Sarfraz ne ro dena ha abi😑

Pakistanis slowly lost all hope,
and of course everyone’s favourite reaction, Pakistani Vlogger Momin Saqib ranting over Pakistan’s defeat,
all of us @ Team Pakistan’s performance against Team India, “ye mazak horeya hai?”
6) The on-going 1992 conspiracy theory,
the similarities were so strong even ICC itself caught up,
but once the tournament started taking a different turn, Pakistanis started making fun of their own misery,

7) India’s loss, Pakistan’s redemption
Dhoni could have done it against #England but chose not to do so. Today he wanted to do it against #NewZealand but wasn't allowed to do so. #SweetJustice. Also many thought back in 1992 that New Zealand would reach the final given their unbeaten run. Today they are on their way.

some people are still questioning it
World Cup needs to be shared: never seen such a final, who would have thought of Super over in 50 overs. Kiwis lost two chances – once when Boult caught Stokes and stepped on boundary & most importantly 4 overthrows in last over. Feel sad for Kiwis, the real gentlemen of game. pic.twitter.com/fNYTj4KV5s

England wrongly awarded extra run in World Cup final, says Umpire Simon Taufel https://t.co/AgqX6ejGSv
— Mansoor Ali Khan (@_Mansoor_Ali) July 15, 2019
the super-over that caused all of us to scream at our screens,
-Boult taking the catch before stepping on the boundary for 6
-Stokes deflecting the ball of the bat with a dive, going for 4
-A tie in a World Cup final resulting in a super over
-England winning after a tied super over
— Alfie G B Long (@alfielong97) July 14, 2019
England might have won the worldcup but this man right here won everyone’s hearts!
Kane Williamson is smiling. He's a captain of a cricket team which has just lost a world cup final in the most unlikeliest of the ways. And he's smiling. Is this guy even real man. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. What a guy man. I mean hats off buddy. You're a gem #CWC19Final pic.twitter.com/2rkMsfivcL
